Draft — to be reviewed by a lawyer before Arise sells to the public.

Terms of Use

Effective date: 3 October 2026

In short

Arise is a friendly morning companion, not a doctor or counsellor. You can use the free features without an account. Arise Plus costs $4.99 CAD a month, and you can cancel any time; it stays on until the end of the month you paid for. Please use Arise kindly and legally. Pep talks are written by AI, so they may be imperfect and are not advice. We work hard to keep Arise running, but we cannot promise it will always be perfect. Alberta law applies. Questions? Email hello@nuuchsystems.com.

About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Nezeville Media Inc. (“we” or “us”), a company in Alberta, Canada. They cover the Arise web app (arise-morning.netlify.app), the Arise iPhone app when it is released, and Arise Plus. Nuuch Systems runs the technology for Arise on our behalf. By using Arise, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Who can use Arise

Using the service

The free version of Arise includes a morning mood check-in with an optional short note, reviewed affirmations, weather and outfit advice, reminders, history, colour themes and a companion avatar. You do not need an account for these.

Your check-ins, notes, history, reminders and settings are saved only on your own device. That means:

You may use Arise for your own personal, non-commercial use. We keep all rights in the Arise app, its design, its name and its content, including the affirmations and the companion avatar.

Arise Plus: subscription and billing

Cancelling and refunds

Acceptable use

Please use Arise kindly and legally. Do not:

If you break these rules, we may limit, pause or end your access to Arise Plus. If we end a paid subscription because of a serious breach, we may not give a refund, except where the law says we must.

AI-written pep talks

Arise Plus pep talks are written by an AI system (Anthropic’s Claude), based on your mood and optional note.

The affirmations in the free app are pre-written and reviewed by people, not made up by AI on the spot.

Faith quotes

Faith quotes are an optional Plus feature. They are short quotes offered for comfort and reflection. They are not religious teaching or advice, and they do not stand for any religious group. Your faith choice stays on your device only. You can turn faith quotes off at any time.

No medical advice — not for emergencies

Arise is not a medical or mental-health service. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it does not replace a doctor, counsellor or therapist.

Arise is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please use the crisis lines shown in the app, call your local emergency number (911 in Canada and the US), or go to your nearest emergency room.

Availability and changes

Limits on our responsibility

We provide Arise “as is”. To the extent the law allows:

Some places do not allow some of these limits. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it, such as for fraud, or for harm caused on purpose or by gross negligence, and nothing here takes away your rights under consumer protection laws.

Ending your use

You can stop using Arise at any time. To close your Plus account, cancel your subscription and then email us to ask us to delete your account.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the date at the top. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email (for Plus users) before it takes effect. If you keep using Arise after that, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Alberta, unless the consumer laws where you live give you the right to go to your local courts.
