Draft — to be reviewed by a lawyer before Arise sells to the public.
Your morning check-ins, notes, history, reminders, name, city and settings stay on your own device. We do not keep them on our servers. We send your city to a weather service so we can show the forecast. If you buy Arise Plus, we keep your email address and your subscription details, and Stripe handles your payment. If you ask for a Plus pep talk, your mood and optional note go to an AI service to write it, and we do not store that note. We show no ads, we do not sell your data, and we do not use tracking cookies or analytics.
Arise is a morning companion web app (arise-morning.netlify.app), with an iPhone app in development. Arise is owned and run by Nezeville Media Inc., a company in Alberta, Canada. Nuuch Systems runs the technology for Arise. When this policy says “we” or “us”, it means Nezeville Media Inc.

These things are saved only in your own browser or phone (in something called “local storage”). They are not sent to or stored on our servers:
Because this information lives only on your device, we cannot see it, and we cannot get it back for you. If you clear your browser data, delete the app, or switch to another device, it will be gone.

Stripe handles your payment information under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
When you ask for a Plus pep talk, your mood and your optional note (up to 280 characters) are sent through our server to Anthropic’s Claude AI, which writes the pep talk.

Faith quotes are an optional Plus feature. The faith you choose is a setting saved only on your device. It is not sent to the AI, and it is never used for advertising.
Arise has no ads. We do not use tracking cookies, and we do not use analytics tools in the app. We use your browser’s storage only to make the app work, for example to remember your check-ins and settings, and to keep you signed in to Plus.
Our account and subscription data is stored with Supabase on servers in Canada (the ca-central-1 region). Stripe, Anthropic, Netlify and Open-Meteo may handle data in other countries, including the United States, under their own safeguards. When data is in another country, the laws of that country may apply to it.
We keep your Plus account details (email, sign-in records and subscription details) while you have an account. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete these details, except for records we must keep by law, such as tax and payment records. Information on your device stays there until you delete it.
Arise follows Canadian privacy law, mainly the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). You have the right to:
To do any of these, email hello@nuuchsystems.com. We will reply within 30 days. Remember, most of your Arise information is only on your own device, so you can see or delete it yourself at any time.
If you live in the EU or UK: you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete, limit or object to how we use your data, and to get a copy of it in a common format. We use your data to provide the service you asked for (for Plus, to carry out our agreement with you). You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
We use secure connections (HTTPS) and trusted service providers. Only the people who run Arise can reach our account records, and only when they need to. No system is perfectly safe, so we keep as little of your data as we can.
Arise is for people aged 13 and older. In the EU and UK, you must be 16 or older, or have a parent’s or guardian’s consent. To buy Arise Plus, you must be an adult where you live, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission. If you think a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Arise is not a medical or mental-health service, and it is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis, please use the crisis lines shown in the app, or call your local emergency number.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email (for Plus users) before it takes effect.
